It can store up to 16,000 records on 4 Mb programmable flash memory, and has a built in temperature recorder -10 degrees C (+14 F) to +60 degrees C (140F+/_ 1 degree C.

Trackeye CAIDROX (CD-3000)

The Trackeye Caidrox Drive Recorder is a compact camera generally installed on the vehicle windscreen that records images of an accident starting from the moment it senses a shift in momentum. Caidrox will record images before, during and after impact for 30 seconds either side of the impact. The images can be used to assist in the determination of accident causation for any purpose.

The CD-3000 Drive Recorder incorporates a built-in hi-resolution camera, GPS module and G-sensor. The device records video, audio, driving speeds, and global positioning information. When an accident happens, recorded information can be played back on PC showing appropriate maps and audible evidence that can assist in reconstruction of pre and post accident events.

Smarty is a compact specialist in-car surveillance camera that fits into one hand. It can be programmed to record video images either constantly or upon impact. Smarty uses GPS to log the vehicle's speed, location and time. Utilising its in-built ‘G' sensors, which can be customised to accommodate every class of vehicle, it also precisely records impact, acceleration, abrupt braking and sharp turns. The high quality video can capture images at up to 30 frames per second. 640 X 480. Smarty's internal re-chargeable battery retains both time, and GPS information in the event of power failing. Because the real time clock automatically synchronises itself with GPS, the recorded time and speed information is always accurate. Retained data can be viewed as an entire route overlaid on free Google Earth. By clicking on various points on the map, information relating to Position, Speed and ‘G' sensor values can be readily accessed.

Has an interesting feature that allows Traffic Crash reports to be created at the touch of a button. Other important features include Data Logging for Location Data over a 1 month period.

The Trackeye BX 1500 from Trackeye Australia is a technically advanced, simple to operate, dash/windscreen mounted camera for your vehicle. Using a high resolution colour camera at 30 frames per second, an internal 3-axis shock sensor, and built-in GPS, the Smarty allows you to record detailed data throughout every drive. This Trackeye BX 1500 is a more developed version of the earlier BX1000 model and offers users an effective risk reducing means to aid the accident investigation process. It helps decrease collateral damage associated with car accidents, encourages safe driving, monitors driving behaviors, and contributes towards the overall safety on the road.

Smart Black Box, an in-vehicle Event Data Recorder (EDR), makes constant recordings of video footages (including audio) on a loop as the journey continues. Programming the Camera for Full-time recording is recommended, although a pre-determined amount of G-force is programmable and will activate recording saving the latest image to memory up to 20 seconds prior to impact/accident.

Files are recorded directly to an SDHC card (4GB included, supports up to 32GB). The larger 32GB Card provides continuous recording of 148 hours with a revolving cache that replaces the oldest loop with the newest footage recorded. These videos may later be viewed for surveillance purposes or evidence in an accident investigation. With integrated GPS, Smart Black Box records the speed, time, and location for post-crash analysis, providing concrete evidence for clarifying responsibility.
